A Cooler House is one Dallas – Ft worth’s leading Radiant Barrier Contractors and we are proud to install both LO/MIT Radiant Barrier Spray and Foil Barriers.
Radiant Barrier Paint is a silver colored low-E (low emissivity) coating applied to the underside of your roof decking inside the attic.
Foil Radiant Barrier is a thin sheet of reinforced aluminum that is attached to rafters in your attic.
What are the benefits of radiant barriers in attics?
Radiant heat accounts for 93% of the heat gain in your home.
Radiant barriers stop the majority of the sun’s heat from ever entering the attic.
- Foil Radiant Barriers emit as little as 5% of the possible radiant heat.
- LO/MIT produces the lowest emissivity available in sprayed radiant barrier products; 0.20 or less.
- LO/MIT does not trap water (like some Latex based coatings) so you need not worry about mold problems.
SOLEC’s LO/MIT is an Energy Star Product. ENERGY STAR is the symbol for energy efficiency, as designated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). LO/MIT Radiant Barrier Spray was used by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) to develop the international standard for Interior Radiation Control Coatings (ASTM C 1321-98) and is the ONLY product on the market in compliance.
